Your listener requests

Sending a request is optional. You choose the station, the message and what personal material to include.

What the station receives

Your chosen on-air name, message, requested day and time zone, optional reply email, and the legend’s story and links. A personal photograph is included only when you select it. The app makes a new JPEG without the original file’s metadata.

The selected station’s authorised DJs can see your request and its private listener history. Names and emails are supplied by listeners; they are not verified. An opaque identifier links requests from the same activated app at that station. Another station receives a different identifier.

Reading your name, message or personal material on air needs the separate permission you choose before sending. Providing an email allows replies about your request; it does not enrol you in marketing. A star means that a DJ acknowledged that particular request. It is not a score or a promise to broadcast it.

What WTL counts

WTL’s owner report shows all-time received-request totals by station and optional country. Country is your choice; the request feature does not infer it from your location, time zone or email. The owner report does not show names, email addresses, messages or photographs.

WTL operates the service that stores and delivers requests. Technical administrators may need to access service data to resolve a fault or an abuse report. This service does not provide end-to-end encryption.

Keeping and removing requests

Your app saves drafts and receipts on your phone. Refresh My requests to check delivery, status or acknowledgement. Station changes appear after a successful refresh; the feature does not send a separate push notification for each star.

Use Withdraw request to remove its message and attachment from the station’s inbox. DJs can delete a single request or a listener’s saved history. Removal clears the star when your app next refreshes. It cannot undo a broadcast or a copy the station already made.

The service keeps request content until you withdraw it or the station deletes it; there is no automatic deletion schedule. Anonymous participation totals and a minimal delivery record remain, so a retry cannot recreate a deleted request or count twice. The delivery record contains an opaque station-specific identifier, request ID, date and removal state, without the deleted message, email, name or photo.

Each station has limited storage. A full inbox refuses new requests and leaves existing history intact. Ordinary Android Share is separate: the app or service you choose handles that shared copy under its own rules.
